Project Updates

This site will provide you with information about school construction and capital improvement projects that were completed as part of the 2009 Bond Program in Carroll ISD. Learn about facilities that are incorporating green strategies and saving Carroll ISD taxpayers a significant amount of dollars on the operations side of the school budget.

Bond Information

School districts utilize bond elections - a sort of loan program - to manage and pay for capital improvement and construction projects. Bond programs are typically put together by a citizen and staff committee with input from key stakeholders in the school district. The Carroll School Board actually calls the election and voters consider each proposition on the election ballot.

Budget Overview

The school finance system in the state of Texas is complicated. Find out about the Maintenance & Operations (M&O) budget that pays for staff, supplies, utilities and daily operations of the school district and the Interest & Sinking (I&S) or debt service budget used to maintain and construct facilities, buy buses, technology and other capital assets.

Strategic Plan

Review Carroll ISD's long-term Strategic Plan which was put together by more than 150 different citizens and staff members during a year-long review of CISD programs and services. The plan was adopted by the School Board in 2015 and sets the course for what we want Dragons to learn during their K-12 experience.
